Also be willing to ask "why" when given requirements. The reason is that the person who wants you to build something may not themselves be very technical, or may not understand what the limitations/capabilities are. Getting answers to the "why" questions is a way to confirm, for example, if there is perhaps an easier way to accomplish something they want.

Hi i’m a current ee freshman in college and extremely motivated to become a successful engineer. Becoming an engineer is my #1 priority and is all I can ever think about. My question is do you think anyone can become an engineer? I have the passion and undoubtedly have the will, is that enough to become a successful engineer?
I agree Ali, that's what engineering was for me when I was a child. I wanted to be someone who can create those instruments like back then I used to separate all the parts of various electronic instruments I came across and be like Holy shit! I want to make this. Yes, that is something I want to do. But as time passes, I forgot what my main motive was behind choosing and working for being an excellent engineer. Thanks Ali, for this amazing recap of my past self!!!!
Are you sad Ali? You sounded really sad😢
its like a black box basically
Very good reminder thanks brother🤝
Is biomedical engineering same as medical engineering…also will doing medical physics be a advantage for this ?
Can a French citizen work in NASA ? Thanks a lot from France ❤
you need a green card
So it is a TALENT that is being gifted rather being learnt after all so not all engineers would be that TALENT for sure ...
Couldn't agree more! What's your ultimate goal as an engineer? Definitely will reach out to ya to chat
The only skill = the skill that is made up of all of the other critical reasoning skills lol. But yeah, critical thinking / thinking for yourself / being able to make assumptions and work off of those / ask for questions... all great skills! Def want to see more about the GUI if you can share more! Thanks for posting
Good presentation, but what about the GUI app?
thank you ❤❤
That's so helpful ALI.
Big fan from Sri Lanka
I got electrical engineering a year ago and I'm going to entering my second year now. Now I'm confused. Should I consider different carrier or freelancing Fan and student from India ❤
In India, An electrical engineer can do electrical engineering job, automation engineering job, CS-IT job, electronics engineering related job, instrumentation and control engineering job, mechatronics job etc. But engineer from other fields can't do job of electrical engineer. So point is better stuck with BE in Electrical Engineering and do prepare of GATE because it will clear your concepts and your knowledge will be very strong also you can get Mtech in top 8 IITs after GATE score, and learn othet skills like python,c, autocad, ETAP, MATLAB, PLC programming.
Electrical and mechanical are evergreen branches 🔥
Big fan from India ❤
just realized how true this is
Calculas 3 !!!!! 😮
can you be next Elon Musk? what the constraints?
if you have a problem worth solving, ability to inspire people to help you solve it, and ability to carve out a solid plan and execute it relentlessly, no constraint really
@@alithedazzling wow! very cool answer) make please more this kind of motivational stuff in shorts too (when people strugle and want to give up etc...)
can you please make video how to be tenacious and not give up?
long-form?
@@alithedazzling i think it can be good in shorts and in long-form with diagrams too, or in form of talking video) good topic for any format
do we need to be an American to apply for NASA internships?
I think so unfortunately

Biomedical Engineering is a good course. You'll get a wide range of skills that will make you eligible for wide variety of careers be it in tech, medical device industry, biotech, pharma, etc. If you have passion for solving medical problems, go for Biomedical Engineering. I don't like petroleum ,electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and aerospace. They're just not that interesting. Yeah, you may end up not getting a job with a title "Biomedical Engineer". But the broad base of skills you acquire from BME will make you more than able to handle the jobs.😂
Thanks alot I'll save it, and I'll watch it whenever I'm demotivated ❤
I did biology and chemistry for my EE degree. I think the idea is that you get more familiarization with hard sciences, along with physics and emag. I did also have a technical elective that had to be one of fluid dynamics or statics.
Thanks for the video. I learned a lot from it.
İ ban you
brother, I would like to in which college you studied EE?
oh god i'm gonna die next year 😅
I Googled Maxwell's equations and you came up, great video!
My dad was a computer engineer and I came across his college textbooks and was reading them and I've recently become interested in how the generally skip over electric fields and teach that electrons move like water or whatever. I designed a PCB board as a hobby I've taken up and I've realized that thinking the power runs through the traces like a water thru a hose causes a lot of issues. There's nothing out there that really teaches electricity from the ground up and it seems like that causes a lot of issues for people down the road
Hey dude! Good to see you here haha. This is actually an awful explanation, I can explain it way better now that I've evolved. I'll be back in LA in August, let's meet up and talk some electronics, I can explain it way better in person
@@alithedazzling Nice! Yeah hit me up when you're in town!
Hi Ali, I would like to have a one on one conversation with. How can I do that? Please let me know.
electrical engineering is a good career but if you want to work as a software engineer it's not the best option you will be distracted by many circuits ,electronics and physics courses which will take a lot of time and effort which can be better used in actual programming to make you land a good job in a very competitive world, in a cs major you also learn about electronics and hardware but it will be a few courses which you only need if you want to be a software engineer , This career is tough and hard and It takes a lot of studying ,solving problems and doing many many projects to make you a good software engineer and you can't do that if you are an electrical engineer you will only have enough time to focus on the basics of programming maybe you can be an average programmer but it's hard to be more than that
What are the job opportunities in ee?
amazing
thanks for videos , like the way you thinking
Glad you like them!
How can I contact you?
you can write your question here
I know this video is over a year old, but I am currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering (BME) with a focus on medical devices. I also plan to take summer classes to earn at least a minor, and hopefully a bachelor's, in machine learning. My goal is to integrate medical devices with machine learning. Do you think BME is a good option? I'm still a bit unsure, but I enjoy both programming and biology, so I'm considering a career in biomedical software engineering.
How you see telecommunication engineering
Hello, im a recent graduate with a BS in Electrical Engineering. In my current situation I felt as if COVID took away many opportunities from learning and growing as an engineer not only due to most of classes being online and lacking some fundamental electrical engineering knowledge. If anyone has advice for me as a new grad in electrical engineer please feel free to leave a comment below.
I hate these argumentation with competition and needing to stand out. That just confirms that the majority gets left behind. Life is difficult. The majority struggles to survive.
A good hardware practice project is an FM radio in my experience. I spent hours upon hours on it had ups and downs but finally when it worked it was awesome. I learnt some stuff about antennas, filter circuits and amplifiers. I Highly recommend 👍
In the uk these are electronics projects rather than electrical, but its a moot point.
Good job Ali

I think the classical core-engineering majors are electrical, mechanical, chemical, industrial, and civil. The rest build upon these core disciplines to create new specialized fields. Not learning the core-concepts WILL set you behind.
As a BSEE from University of Wisconsin class of 1977, I can tell you that if you are good at math and like puzzles, you will do well and the world will open up for you. I'm now a multi-millionaire and retired. I still remember Dr. Herman Guckel's semi-conductor physics class. He was an old German hard ass. At the time the only people doing semiconductor research were Univ. of Minnesota, Univ. of Wisconsin, and MIT. Just before I graduated, I asked my friend, Andy, what he was interested in. He said: "I kinda like this semiconductor stuff and when I graduate I want to go to work for a company in California called Intel." I said: " i never heard of it." That was 1977. Intel made it's first true microprocessor in 1984! The rest is history. BTW, because of stock options, Intel made more multimillionaires of it's employees than any other company.
